(NASHVILLE, IL) — The Illinois State Police report a two vehicle crash involving a fatality on Route 15 at County Highway 13 at 5:54 PM. Preliminary investigative details indicate a car driven by an 18-year old female of Hoyleton was southbound on County Highway 13. An SUV, driven by a 38-year old female of Belleville, was westbound on Illinois Route 15. The car failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of and the other vehicle struck the driver’s side of the car after it entered the intersection. All occupants were wearing seatbelts, but the Hoyleton teen was fatally injured, while the driver of the SUV sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. A 7-year old male in the SUV was not injured, while a 10-year old female in the vehicle received minor injuries and both were taken to a local hospital. The names have not been released pending family notifications.
