(ATLANTA, GA) — Three people from Franklin County were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Atlanta, GA Sunday. The Fulton County, GA Medical Examiner’s office confirmed to us Monday afternoon that 49-year-old Michael Furlow of Royalton and his two grandchildren – 7-year-old Halle Young and 8-year-old Kaybrin Osborne of Benton, were killed when a car driven by 20-year-old Jorge Solis crashed into Furlow’s car around 5:30 a.m. on southbound I-75. The driver of Furlow’s vehicle, Mike Osborne and his grandson, 3-year-old Clayton Flood, were taken to Atlanta area hospitals for injuries sustained in the crash. Osborne and Furlow were taking the children to their mother’s home in Tampa, FL when the accident happened. Police in Atlanta say Solis was going the wrong way on southbound I-75 in a pickup truck when the accident happened. He has been charged with three counts of first degree vehicular homicide, DUI driving the wrong way on a one-way and serious injury by a vehicle.
