Semi vs. Train Accident Causes Injuries, Closes Route For A Time

(PERCY, IL) — Route 4 southeast of Percy is open again after a semi versus train accident closed the route Wednesday, and a hazardous materials crew responded to the scene. State Police have identified the injured as 47-year-old train conductor James Wiggs of Dix, 64-year-old train engineer Dennis Johnson of Centralia, and the 27-year-old semi driver Orville Hobbs of Grand Tower.
