(BENTON, IL) — A Franklin County judge recently pushed back sentencing for a West Frankfort man who shot and killed his wife at their West Frankfort home. John Adams won’t know his fate now until June 26. The reason for the delay in sentencing was the fact that there was a delay in getting documents needed that could lead to Adams serving the rest of his life behind bars. Adams pled guilty in April to shooting his wife, Kendra Adams, at their home on South Marion Road in March of last year. She later died from her injuries.
