(BENTON, IL) — The Franklin County Board Tuesday night voted unanimously in favor of a resolution against Gov. Bruce Rauner’s right-to-work agenda. WSIL-TV reports that the resolution calls the governor’s proposal unconstitutional and supports the continuation of prevailing wage laws. Many union workers showed up for the meeting and one accused the governor of trying to get county leaders from taking the vote. A spokesperson for Gov. Rauner told the station later that no one from the governor’s staff had put any pressure on county leaders to cancel the vote saying they were just trying to make their case for the governor’s economic agenda.
