(East St. Louis, IL) — A Belleville woman convicted of filing several false tax returns is going to spend some time behind bars. Dorresa Braggs has been sentenced to more than five years in prison. Prosecutors say she filed 201 fake returns from 2010 through 2012. The IRS denied Braggs a large amount of money when she filed, but the agency did give her over 579-thousand dollars. She now has been ordered to repay the IRS that same amount.
