State Panel Recommends Marijuana Treatment For Health Conditions

(Chicago, IL) — People in Illinois may soon be able to treat several more ailments with medical marijuana. During a hearing in Chicago yesterday, the Illinois Medical Cannabis Advisory Board recommended that a number of conditions be approved for treatment including migraines, irritable bowel syndrome and post-traumatic stress disorder. Diabetes and anxiety were rejected. A final approval must still be decided by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
