Rauner Does One-Eighty On Grant Cuts

(Springfield, IL) — Governor Rauner is vowing to restore 26-million dollars in grant cuts made on Good Friday. That’s good news for those who lost access to services ranging from autism assistance to HIV detection to burials for the poor. Rauner announced the reversal after the legislature’s forecasting department found that an additional 300- to 500-million-dollars in tax revenue will be coming in, mainly because of the state’s improving economy.
