(Jackson County, IL) — A new drug rehab center will open in Murphysboro. City leaders passed a special use permit on Monday for Sovereign Health Group. The company wants to bring a rehab center to old Jackson County Rehab and Care center. Some object to the facility claiming its too close to nearby schools. Murphysboro officials say Sovereign Health will install a fence and a security system.
