(Granite City, IL) — A Metro East man has been charged with a deadly hit-and-run that happened over the weekend. Police say Travis Crain was texting and driving at the time of the crash early Sunday morning. The suspect has been charged with reckless homicide and failure to report an accident involving personal injury or death. Twenty-five-year-old Mark Harris from Granite City was struck and killed while walking alone on Edwardsville Road.
