(CARMI, IL) — A McLeansboro man accused of shooting and killing a Marion man is behind bars. Jack Thomas, Jr. was arrested in Carmi Tuesday afternoon. Thomas is accused of killing Michael Reed of Marion after an argument between the two at Reed’s home on the 300 Block of W. College Street late Monday night. Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti has charged Thomas with three counts of first degree murder. Bond has been set at $ 1 million. Thomas is scheduled to appear in court today.
