SAUGET, Ill. (AP) — Construction has wrapped up on a $23.5 million FedEx Ground distribution center in Illinois near St. Louis. The Belleville News-Democrat reports the 181,000-square-foot facility is located in a business park in Sauget, Illinois. The center has 175 employees working full-time and part-time, with the ability to process 10,000 packages an hour. Sauget Business Park Economic Development Director Jay Dinkelmann says the new facility is the second distribution center in the park. He says R&L Carriers open a center there about 15 years ago.
