Even though he’s only been in office since January, 12th District Congressman Mike Bost of Murphysboro announced Monday that he has raised an impressive $407,000 for his reelection campaign in the first quarter of this year. Bost has $382,000 in cash-on-hand. Bost says in a statement that he is humbled by the tremendous support he has received from Republicans, Democrats and Independents across Southern Illinois. Bost says that his strong fundraising numbers show that while his team continues to grow, that they haven’t lost their commitment to changing the status quo in Washington. The congressman noted that he and his team have made a lot of progress cutting through the partisanship to grow jobs, but much work remains. As they continue working together, Bost says he is excited to see what the future holds.
