(Wayne County, IL) — A Wayne County man accused of stealing money from his former employer for six years has been charged with mail fraud. Prosecutors say Bruce Johnson wrote checks from the Wayne-White County Co-Op’s account to pay off more than 76 hundred dollars in personal debt. He’s also charged with writing 24 hundred dollars in checks to his credit card companies from the account of Wayne City First Christian Church, where he served as the volunteer treasurer.
