(CENTRALIA, IL) — A 25-year-old woman found unconscious at a Centralia park Thursday was revived by emergency personnel after they gave her an emergency medication designed to reverse the effects of a drug overdose. According to reports, around 1:30 Thursday afternoon, a mother who had brought her children to play at Fairview Park on the west side of Centralia called 911 after noticing a man apparently having a seizure outside a car. Emergency personnel responding to the call then noticed the unconcious woman nearby. LifeStar Ambulance EMTs administered Narcan to the woman, successfully reviving her from an apparent heroin overdose. She was taken to St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment, along with the 48-year-old man who had suffered the apparent seizure.
