(BENTON, IL) — You can expect delays on Route 37 between Benton and West Frankfort now through June. IDOT says the roadway will be repaved over the next three weeks. Crews will also paint new reflector strips on the road and install pavement reflectors during this time. The first layer of pavement was put down last fall and work on the project stopped for the winter months. Flaggers will be in the work zone controlling traffic during the pavement project. You are encouraged to watch out for road workers and flaggers along the highway.
