(SALEM, IL) — A 22-year-old Salem man is in the Marion County Jail after he allegedly shoved a Salem police officer and resisted being handcuffed. According to police reports, they responded to an apartment where Troy Grantham’s girlfriend had asked him to leave following an argument, but she refused to go. As officers were escorting Grantham outside, he reportedly shoved an officer and took a fighting stance as officers attempted to handcuff him. One officer pulled his Taser, but Grantham was successfully subdued without the device being used. Grantham was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he remains awaiting formal charges and the setting of bail.
