(West Frankfort, IL.)– Two Franklin County teens were arrested Wednesday in connection with some recent car burglaries in West Frankfort. West Frankfort Police Chief Shawn Talutto says 18-year-old Robert W. Bock and an underage male juvenile, both from West Frankfort, are charged with one count each of theft of a motor vehicle, one count each of theft over $500, nine counts each of burglary to a motor vehicle and nine counts each on conspiracy to commit burglary. Talutto says police received a few calls Wednesday from residents in town reporting that their vehicles had been burglarized. There was also one vehicle that had been reported stolen. After getting this information, police detectives began their investigation concerning these reports and were able to identify a suspect in the case. Detectives found Bock and the juvenile around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. They were interviewed concerning the theft of the vehicle as well as the burglary to nine other vehicles on the east side of town. Property connected to the burglarized vehicles was also recovered. Both men are currently lodged in the Franklin County Jail pending advisement and a court appearance.
