Alton Man Sentenced In Cousin’s 2011 Shooting Death

(Alton, IL) — An Alton man convicted in the shooting death of his cousin has been sentenced to 50 years in prison. Damond Riddlespriger was found guilty of murder for the 2011 death of Marion Poindexter. Police say the defendant shot his relative because he was angry about a woman the two men both dated. Riddlespriger must serve 100 percent of his sentence.
