(Fairview Heights, IL) — A Chicago man has been accused of trying to use phony 100-dollar bills at a Metro East mall. Fairview Heights Police say Corey Wilson was actually using five-dollar bills, which were washed and reprinted as 100 dollar bills. The counterfeit bills had been used at eight different stores inside and outside the St. Clair Square Mall. Wilson has been charged with forgery and delivery of forged documents. He’s being held on 50-thousand-dollars bond.
