(BENTON, IL) — The Adams murder trial continues in Benton. John Adams is accused of shooting his wife, Kendra, in her head at their home in West Frankfort last March. She died the next day at an Evansville hospital. During the second day of the prosecution’s case yesterday, Illinois State Police, who conducted the investigation, were able to show jurors the gun Adams allegedly used to shoot his wife. They also showed pictures from inside and outside the house and the clothes John Adams was wearing that day. Firearms expert Aaron Horn also testified saying the bullet recovered from the scene came from the gun found in the basement of the home. It’s not known at this time when the defense will begin their portion of the trial.
