Former Treasurer Going To Court To Face Sexual Harassment Case

(Springfield, IL) — A federal judge has ruled that sexual harassment accusations against former state treasurer Dan Rutherford can go to trial after all. State lawyers have been trying to dismiss the claims by former Rutherford employee Edmund Michalowski. The plaintiff accuses the one time Illinois office holder of making unwanted advances toward him. A lawyer representing Michalowski says his client is excited about the judge’s decision and he looks forward to testifying in court. A preliminary hearing is scheduled today.
