(LOUISVILLE, IL) — A 40-year-old Edgewood man has been sentenced to nine years in prison, after he pleaded guilty earlier this month to felony meth manufacturing. Brian G. Mey pleaded guilty earlier this month to Class 1 felony manufacture of less than 15 grams of methamphetamine, in exchange for having Class 2 felony charges of meth-related child endangerment and possession of less than 15 grams of meth precursors dismissed. Mey was arrested in October, after a traffic stop in Flora led to a property search and the discovery of meth and meth manufacturing. Two others from Edgewood, 41-year-old Dawn Doty, and 43-year-old David Yingst, were arrested along with Mey. Doty pleaded guilty last month to Class 2 felony disposal of meth manufacturing waste and was sentenced three years probation. Yingst pleaded guilty last month to Class 1 felony meth manufacturing and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
