(Fairview Heights, IL) — A thief is on the run with more than 30-thousand dollars worth of sunglasses taken from a Fairview Heights mall. The man busted open a Sunglasses Hut kiosk around 9:30 yesterday morning, while the St. Clair Square Mall’s outer doors were open but the stores weren’t yet. He was confronted by police, but managed to get away with more than 100 sunglasses in two trash bags. He made it to a car and took off running red lights and driving over concrete barriers.
