(Mt. Vernon, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council will meet Tuesday evening this week due to the Presidents’ Day holiday. Among items on the agenda, the Council will hear bid results for the demolition of 6 residential properties as well as for the 42nd Street roadway project and improvements to Lincoln Park. The City Attorney will present three ordinances for rezoning property and an ordinance granting a conditional use for a lumber yard and self storage facility. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building at Veterans Park.
