(CENTRALIA, IL) — Just before 10 o’clock Monday night, Centralia police responded to the 300 block of North Maple, on a report of shots fired. According to the caller, he heard his friend yell, and what sounded like shots fired and someone inside the house. Officers quickly responded to the home and made entry into the house through the front. An unidentified gunshot victim was discovered and an ambulance was quickly dispatched to the scene, where the victim was pronounced deceased. The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia for autopsy.
