Effingham, IL – Captain Kelly Hodge, District 12 Commander, announced the results of an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) patrol which was conducted in Marion County on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Authorities issued 12 total citations and 26 written warnings including 5 speeding citations and an occupant restraint citation. There were no DUI, suspended driver’s license, or drug or alcohol arrests or citations during this patrol. The Illinois State Police (ISP) reminds those who drink and drive that future patrols will be conducted. The ISP will continue to work to save lives by taking impaired drivers off the road.
