(SALEM, IL) — A 43-year-old Centralia man was sentenced to 4-years in prison Tuesday, after pleaded guilty to possessing less than 5-grams of methamphetamine. Jackie Scanlan was facing multiple charges after fleeing a traffic stop on foot in Centralia last month. According to Centralia police Scanlan jumped from his car and fled on foot following the traffic stop in the 700 block of South Maple. He was arrested after being apprehended a short distance away. He was charged in Marion County court with the Class 3 felony to which he pleaded guilty, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, which was dismissed per the plea agreement. In separate cases, charges for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia were also dismissed today, along with misdemeanor domestic battery. A charge of felony driving while license revoked also received a 4-year prison sentence, which will be served concurrently to the meth sentence.
