MARION, Ill. — Autopsies were conducted on two people whose bodies were found in a rural home in southwestern Illinois’ Williamson County. The county’s coroner, Michael “Junior” Burke, says 42-year-old Daniel Blaise and 43-year-old Amy Blaise were found dead late Friday in a home south of Marion. Autopsies show that Amy Blaise died as the result of a single gunshot wound and her death has been ruled a homicide. Daniel Blaise died as the result of a self inflicted gunshot wound. It was reported that one of the couple’s children was inside the residence during the incident, and was not physically injured. Burke’s office investigated the incident along with the sheriff’s department. Funeral arrangements are pending.
