Rauner Assembling Team Of Experts

(Palatine, IL) — Governor Rauner again Friday bemoaned the state’s financial situation and again avoided providing details for how he proposes to remedy it. At an appearance at Harper College in Palatine, Rauner again pointed out that the state’s deficit is expected to hit six-billion-dollars this year and that the pension debt will reach one-hundred-eleven-billion. Asked about solutions, Rauner said he’ll rely on the team of experts he’s assembling from the public and private sectors and who will be named in the coming weeks — before he gives his budget address February 18th.
