Rauner Moves Leave Agencies Headless

(Springfield, IL) — The flurry of pink slips handed out by the new Rauner Administration has left some key government agencies temporarily without leadership. Among those furloughed was Doug Scott, who leaves the Illinois Commerce Commission chairmanship. Next week, the ICC is expected to rule on a one-hundred-million-dollar rate hike request by Peoples Gas, which serves the city of Chicago. Also out is Illinois Gaming Board Chairman Aaron Jaffe, whose departure leaves the gaming board without enough members to conduct business, unless Jaffe is allowed to continue until his replacement is named.
