SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Illinois students are encouraged to enter an art contest commemorating the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s death. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum says students have until Jan. 30 to submit their artwork. Winning submissions will be displayed in April as part of the commemoration of Lincoln’s death and the 10th anniversary of the library and museum. Artwork must be on poster board 11 inches wide by 14 inches high, and cannot use copyrighted characters. It must relate to the museum’s anniversary, which also corresponds to the anniversary year for the end of the Civil War. The contest is open to students in kindergarten through high school, with winners in three age categories.
