VERNON, IL) — Mt Vernon mayor, Mary Jane Chesley wants to remind everyone that she will be giving the State of the City address on Thursday January 15th. “The attendance has grown over the past years and that shows the interest that the people have in their city. This year will be an exceptionally interesting State of the City” says Chesley. The speech will be given at the Holiday Inn at 12:00 p.m. and will be sponsored by the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
