(SALEM, IL) — A Walnut Hill couple are in the Marion County jail on multiple drug related charges after a weekend traffic stop. An Illinois State Police trooper conducting a traffic stop early Saturday arrested 42-year-old Christopher Michael Biagi and his wife and passenger 40-year-old Elizabeth Ann Biagi. Elizabeth Biagi is a teacher at Central City Grade School. Christopher Biagi was arrested for alleged driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of between 2.5 and 10 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Elizabeth Biagi was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis. Both were taken to the Marion County jail, where they remain posted bond and were released.
