(MT. VERNON, IL) — A Mt. Vernon man has been sentenced to eight years after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery. Codey Ince, 21, was arrested Sept. 8 for a robbery at Huck’s on Main Street. Police said Ince was armed with a gun when he demanded money from a store clerk. Ince fled with the cash but was arrested nearby a short time later. In addition to his eight-year sentence, Ince was also ordered to serve two years mandatory supervised release. The court has recommended Ince for IDOC’s boot camp program. Two others charged in connection with the robbery – Megan Stroud, 22, and Jarrod Robin, 21, both of Mt. Vernon — previously pled guilty and were sentenced to two years probation.
