(CENTRALIA, IL) — A 43-year-old Centralia man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Marion County court to a reduced charge of manufacturing methamphetamine, agreeing to be sentenced in February on the Class 1 felony charge. William Donoho was originally charged with Class X felony aggravated participation in meth manufacturing and possession of less than five grams of meth. In a plea agreement, the Class X charge was reduced to the Class 1 charge to which Donoho pleaded guilty and the Class 3 possession charge was dismissed. Donoho was originally arrested in September along with Dale Lyons of Odin, when the two men were allegedly using the garage at the home of Lyons mother to make meth. The woman’s grandson, who lives next door, came over to the home when he spotted a vehicle pull into the garage he didn’t recognize. After allegedly trying to give some meth to the grandson, the two men allegedly told the grandson he couldn’t leave. But sheriff’s deputies say the grandson took control of the situation when he was able to punch both of the men in theface and hold them until sheriff’s deputies arrived. Donoho has remained in the Marion County jail since his arrest, with bail set at $100,000.
