(Johnson City, IL) — A southern Illinois man accused of kidnapping his stepdaughters is being held on two-million dollars bond. Damon Jones allegedly took off with the seven and nine-year-old girls Sunday night. Authorities issued an AMBER alert when they didn’t show up for school on Monday. A Good Samaritan helped track Jones down at a convenience store just south of Marion. Police say the girls were sleeping in the back of the vehicle at the time and weren’t harmed. Jones is facing kidnapping and drug possession charges.
