(Carbondale, IL) — The Carbondale Election Board has ruled that there are no objections to longtime businessman John Henry’s candidacy for mayor after questions about his residency. Local attorney Darrell Dunham still believes Henry did not declare his Carbondale residency soon enough to comply with city and state law. He says he may consider appealing after the board releases its statement to the city clerk’s office. Henry will face Jane Adams to replace acting mayor Don Monty in the April 7th election.
