EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) — A southwestern Illinois man has been ordered to spend more than nine years in federal prison for his role in a Belleville liquor store robbery last year. Twenty-three-year-old Roderick Taylor pleaded guilty to a three-count indictment charging him with felony counts of conspiracy to commit interference with commerce by robbery, interference with commerce by robbery, and use of a firearm during a crime of violence. Prosecutors say Taylor and a co-defendant robbed Arena Liquor in Belleville at gunpoint in July of last year and fled with more than $10,000 in a car driven by a third suspect. No one was injured, and the trio was arrested a short time later. The two other defendants await sentencing.
