(Carbondale, IL) — Southern Illinois University officials are apparently considering budget cuts. SIU President Randy Dunn tells “WPSD-TV” the cuts under consideration depend on what happens with the state budget, but he says the school is looking at tuition and fee increases. The Illinois Board of Higher Education recently asked SIU to prepare for as large as a 20-percent cut in state support to their budget, or about 40-million dollars.
