LADUE, MO — The Ladue, Missouri Police Department is confirming the death of a 46-year-old Mt. Vernon, Illinois businessman Sunday morning.
According to Ladue Police Chief Ken Andreski, Steven L. Beal was found dead when officers responded around 8 a.m. to a report of a possibly deceased male in the 100 block of Ladue in Missouri.
The St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and will have a cause later for Beal’s death. He was the CEO of National Railway Equipment and also owned Rare Chophouse in Mt. Vernon.
Reports indicate Beal was found dead in a swimming pool at the Ladue home he shared with his wife Erin.
