JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL — The Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Educational Clearinghouse Council to provide scholarships to area high school students.

Bluford Schools Superintendent Shane Gordon is also the Vice President for the Educational Clearinghouse Council. He says the scholarships will be specific to the student’s future career aspirations.

Each scholarship will be $500. Gordon says the Council has around 20 businesses signed on to donate but they are missing a few businesses that are specific to different career fields.

For more information on becoming a scholarship sponsor, you can call the Chamber at 242-5725.
