MT. VERNON — If you’re looking to kick off your holiday season this weekend, there will be plenty of activities to choose from in the city of Mt. Vernon.

Some of the biggest events of the day include the Holiday Craft Fair at the Rolland Lewis Building at Veterans Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Downtown Christmas Parade at 5 p.m., and the downtown tree lighting ceremony to follow the parade.

Grace Payne with the Mt. Vernon Convention and Visitor’s Bureau says it’s a great way to get into the seasonal spirit while being easy on the wallet.
