BLUFORD — Jefferson County Schools are starting to get their first taste of the Junior Achievement program. In Bluford, junior high students have started the six-week full program, and elementary students will be participating in “Junior Achievement in a Day” this Thursday.

Bluford Schools superintendent Shane Gordon says the program gives students lessons in important future life skills.

Gordon says the advisory board is looking for business professionals to volunteer and help teach the Junior Achievement curriculum to area kids. If you are interested, you can contact Gordon and he’ll get you in contact with the right people.
