MCLEANSBORO — The Hamilton County Board approved a six-year agreement with the city of McLeansboro to provide Central Dispatch services at Tuesday night’s meeting. The board unanimously approved the agreement 4-0, with county board chair Brad Miller absent.

The city of McLeansboro will pay the county $48,000 the first three years of the agreement, and $50,000 the last three years. Board Vice Chairman P.E. Cross says with the city almost doubling what it will pay for Central Dispatch services, it gives the county more financial wiggle room.

Under the previous contract, the city paid the county about $25,000 per year for the same services.
