MARION COUNTY — The 15-year-old Centralia juvenile male charged with obstruction in connection with the May shooting death in his home of Jaden Krauss, was sentenced Monday in Marion County court for his role in the burglary of a Centralia school.

The son of Nicole Kirgan, who is also charged with obstruction in the Krauss case, the teen was sentenced Monday to a term in juvenile detention to not exceed his 21st birthday for the February 11, 2019, burglary of St. Mary Catholic School in Centralia.

According to Centralia police, multiple windows were smashed inside the school, desk drawers ransacked and money was stolen from a deposit bag.

The teen has been held in juvenile detention since his July 2, when Centralia police arrested him and his 13-year-old brother on obstruction charges stemming from Krauss’ shooting death.

Prosecutors say the siblings, along with the 15-year-old male convicted of shooting Krauss in the head, gave police false information when they arrived at the Kirgan home in response to Krauss’ shooting. The teen who admitted to shooting Krauss has been sentenced to 5-years in juvenile detention.

The brothers are also accused of moving Krauss from an upstairs bedroom where he was shot to the front porch of the home in the 100 block of South Pine in Centralia, of removing a rug from the room and cleaning up blood, as well as disposing of the gun used to shoot Krauss.

The older brother is due back in Marion County court on August 14 on the obstruction charges. His mother is also facing an obstruction charge for allegedly deleting doorbell video recordings that reportedly showed one of her sons making plans to dispose of the gun. She was additionally charged Monday with two Class 2 felony counts of harassing or intimidating a witness in the Krauss case.
