MARION, IL — A Marion man pled guilty to burglary, a Class 2 felony, in Williamson County Court Monday and was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti says on March 27 of this year, the Marion Police Department was notified of a possible burglary on Third Street.

After an inventory of missing items was taken, a Marion officer was able to obtain video surveillance from a neighbor’s security camera, which gave a description of the suspect identified as 23-year-old Duncan T. Jornlin. Later that day, Jornlin was found to be in a local pawn shop attempting to sell the items that matched the description of those taken from the burglary. Jornlin was charged the following day.

Jornlin has a criminal history including a prior conviction for theft.
