WHITE COUNTY — Friday afternoon’s intense rain and strong winds led to a one-vehicle crash on White County.

According to Illinois State Police, 63-year-old Nancy A. Racine of Eldorado was driving her pickup truck north on U.S. 45 near the intersection of County Road 125 East around 4 when she said her truck started to hydroplane. This caused Racine to lose control of the truck and leave the roadway on the right side, striking a ditch embankment and numerous trees.

Racine suffered minor injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Ferrell Hospital. The truck was towed from the scene.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Jones Towing from Omaha. ISP was assisted at the crash scene by the White County Sheriff’s Department, White County Ambulance and Jones Towing.
