UNION COUNTY – More information has been released about the body discovered in flooded waters in Union County Monday morning.

Sheriff Scott Harvel says a woman was lodged in some brush in or around the creek bed.

Nearly 30 first responders searched the creek Sunday evening, only to discover the 59-year-old woman on Monday. The woman was found approximately seven-tenths of a mile downstream from where her vehicle entered the flooded waters of the Trail of Tears State Forest.
