MT. VERNON — Hundreds of motorcycle riders came through Mt. Vernon Tuesday afternoon as a part of the 31st Annual “Run for the Wall”. The stop in Mt. Vernon is the only stop the group makes in Illinois.

Kirk Olson serves on the Run for the Wall’s board of directors and was among those who came through Mt. Vernon Tuesday. He says the support from communities they travel through is phenomenal.

The Central route which came through Mt. Vernon started in California on last Wednesday and ends at the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington D.C. on Saturday.
